House Joy Skate Show - Design

When asked ‘Why do you skateboard?’ the top two reasons cited indicate a strong connection between skateboarding and mental well-being: to have fun (76%) and get away from stress (62%). Skateboarding as a hobby increased dramatically in popularity during the pandemic. "House Joy" is a name for a fictional event series in NYC specifically for female and gender non-conforming skateboarders.

 The goal of this design exercise was to create a brand system for the pop-up party activation and concert event with the goal to raise awareness, encourage volunteering, and drive participation.
